OUR HISTORY
A brief history of Studio Screenprint and some of the interesting jobs we have done along the way.
1938
When it all started, Studio 38 was based in London & set up to offer design, print services & high end cosmtic POS.
1982
Studio 38 was purchased by the Beasley family.
1984
After a couple of succesful years Studio 38 purchased Westward Design to increase their service offering and with that came the name change to Studio Screenprint Ltd.
1996
Studio designed and produced the marketing collatrial for the iconic PG Tips Pyramid T Bag design!
1999
Star Wars franchise Phantom Menace film came to the cinema’s and Studio's uniquely designed FSDU would appear in cinema’s foyers nationwide.
2000
Moved into our current premises, which was formerly the coal storage site for the Newton Abbot power station, on the town quay. This has resulted in us having wonderful views of the River Teign from the offices.
2001
Studio at this time, invested in x3 multi colour presses, helping service both, 4 colour production runs and the demands of the point of sale market.
2002
Studio was presented with the prestigious gold award by the Wrigley Company for working with them to deliver all of their promotional items.
2006
Studio purchased it’s very 1st flat bed digital printer, an Inca Spyder.
2012
Subsequent digital printers were added as the digital printing market grew.
2024
Studio Screenprint was aquired by Karl Lewins. Joining a wider group of companies we are now able to increase our service offering.
2024
Purchase of our 3rd flatbed to keep increase production capacity & reduce leadtimes.
2025
Time for a rebrand! We wanted to reflect the ever evolving changes here at Studio Screenprint and the work we do.
